Hot Air Balloon Redo
Hello Crafters! Have you ever made a project and were just not completely happy with it? Happens to me all the time. My last card was a perfect example. I was not happy with the background, the clouds, etc... It was not as I had imagined. So, I made a new card and I am much happier with the results. I added some extra clouds to create balance and heat embossing. Again, I used my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Space to create this card. I share my Cricut Design Space link at the end of this post.
I was not happy with these above clouds; I had used an embossing folder. With my newer card I did heat embossing (my new love). I used Versa Mark ink and clear detailed embossing powder. And I am much happier with the results. Here is a close up which shows what a difference heat embossing can make.
This angle gives a better view of the heat embossing and dimension this card has.

The background (above) is what I had wanted originally but wanted to try an embossed background (see below). With the card above I used foam squares under the main center cloud and the hot air balloon to give the card dimension. I used my trusty wink-of-stella on the banner flags on the balloon.

I would love to hear what you think. Here is the link to Cricut Design Space to the revised Hot Air Balloon Card.
